Framing a project in a story format helps refine your ideas because it makes easier for to create it. A story format makes more sense in my mind and allows ideas to flow whether it be text or design in a way that is natural. I consider myself a storyteller and love telling people anything, using the format makes it easier opposed to a strict assigned structure. The articles talk about how the storytelling format makes it easier for the user but it also does for the creator. I am more invested in projects when there is a personal element added to them and I can break it down in a way that makes sense to me. It makes the entire process go by faster and the project get finished earlier.

My semester project creates a place for fashion lovers or celebrity followers to look back at the MET gala outfits in a consolidated place. There aren't a lot of sites where popular outfits from past events can be found easily and in all in one places. It takes some research to find them or you can only find the collection that was showcased itself not the outfits of the attendees. Major competitors that have similar are various tabloids that show popular celebrities that attended, this including Buzzfeed because they are a website most go to see a consolidated list of celebrities that were at the gala. Neither of these could really be large compeition because this isnt their main focus, they post various news and articles everyday that bury the information. Even the MET website itself isn't a compeitor because they focus on visit to the muesuem and the artifacts they are currently showing. My website will be a dedicated place to see the themes each year and the different designers/outfits that were in attendance to the gala.
